Our goal is to make this site a useful resource on Southern Oregon's police, fire, and EMS scanner frequencies for our community's law-abiding citizens. However, this site and its owners and maintainers are not affiliated with any of the municipalities or agencies listed or referenced, nor have any of the statements or information on this site been confirmed accurate by these organizations. Please don't take what you read as gospel — use any information obtained here at your own risk.

Interception of scrambled or encrypted communications is a violation of federal law. This likely includes decoding of voice inversion, encrypted MDT data, and other proprietary modulation schemes. For example, decoding a voice-inversion scrambled conversation is likely illegal; decoding DTMF or MDC1200 bursts likely is not.

Using a scanner to listen to cordless telephone or cellular telephone calls is illegal. Selling or importing a scanner with analog cellular telephone frequencies unblocked may also be illegal.

Use of a radio receiver, scanner, or a live scanning radio feed by persons restricted from using a scanner by court order or legal injunction is most likely illegal.

Be a responsible scanner user. Please don't go racing to fire, EMS, or crime scenes unless you wish to become part of the action — and not in a good way. At best you'll draw attention and be stopped and questioned about why you keep showing up at emergency calls. At worst, you'll end up part of the emergency call yourself, either by getting in the way of a first responder or a criminal. Let law enforcement, fire, and EMS do their jobs without interference.

JoCo Scanner, comprised of this website and the streaming radio services hosted under this domain (the "Site"), provides information and services to you, the user, conditioned on your acceptance, without modification, of these terms and conditions of use (the "Terms"). Your use of the Site constitutes agreement with the Terms.

Before using the Site, please carefully read this agreement. By using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

JoCo Scanner reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to change, modify, add, or remove portions of these Terms at any time. Modifications are effective immediately upon posting. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of those changes.
